I'm a 'Kiwi'. I have travelled and worked extensively in New Zealand, Australia, Asia, the Far East, Pacific Islands, North America, Russia, Europe and the UK conducting one-on-one sessions and keynote speaking engagements in many major as well as regional cities, towns and rural villages of the world.
I grew up and worked in New Zealand for my first three decades. In my early thirties, I made Australia my home-base until in January 2010 when I left Australia's shores and embarked on a one year worldwide travelling holiday with no plan in mind other than having a spontaneous adventure. I sure had one!
I relate easily and effectively to people of other nationalities, philosophies, religions and cultures.
Since 2012 I have been settled with my wife and youngest daughter together in coastal South Thailand.
I am a capable presenter, creative thinker, solution provider and a highly experienced one-on-one counsellor/personal advisor. Interpersonal relationships of all types is a specialty area.
During my my 6 decades on this blue planet, I've been called many names... mostly nice ones.. thankfully!!
Among some of the adjectives are words like... Kind; Spiritual; Generous; Quirky; Eccentric; Passionate; Witty; Innovative; Entrepreneurial; Interested; Good listener; Compassionate; Loving. In my own view.... I'm a savvy, friendly, entertaining and loving person with my own unique panache and charisma.
I have three awesome kids... Two adults.... Sarah my gorgeous and lovely eldest daughter who works as a mid-wife in Sydney. What a gal! Can't get enough of her. Caleb, my son and eldest, works in finance and banking in Adelaide and I really enjoy hanging out with him whenever I get the chance. And then there's Virginia, my lovely wee late-comer infant... a life changing experience at this time in my journey.
The worst part about me living in S.E. Asia is NOT seeing my adult kids, grand-kids, other family members and friends enough because they reside in other parts of the world! But then, we could live in the same town and I might still feel that way!
I enjoy interesting people with inquiring minds. People who have figured out that "the journey is the main event" and who "never want to stop learning!"
I have a compassionate empathetic heart and a listening ear for those who are feeling like they're in the “valley of the shadow of death” most especially if they are serious about wanting to find the way through it into the greener pastures and quieter waters.
I have felt "Life" encouraging and facilitating me to do so for as long as I can remember even since I was a very young kid!
I like people who love to laugh, love to go out, love to stay home, love to drink, love not to... love to love.... love everything in moderation and even a little occasional excess.... in moderation of course! So, if you think we could relate together, I invite you to get in touch with me whenever it feels right for you.
A wise man, Charlie Jones* (deceased) told me before the internet was born, when I was a less-wise and very young man; "Five years from now you will be the same as you are today.. except for the books you read and the people you meet!" I heeded his advice and became a perpetual reader and meeter of new people. I am much richer today as a result. "Thank you Charlie!"
